For the past 21 years we at MidAmerica Auctions have been honored that over 3,000 MidAmerica Auctions customers have chosen our Las Vegas Auction as the venue to sell or buy a motorcycle. This year's 21st Annual MidAmerica Las Vegas Auction, held at the South Point Hotel, once again set the standard for the antique motorcycle market with $4,600,000 in bona fide sales. Over 80% of the motorcycles sold with many world record prices being set.
With so many quality motorcycles offered at this year's MidAmerica Las Vegas Auction it was difficult to pick a star motorcycle. Many people considered the stunning, unrestored 1915 Iver Johnson one of the best original motorcycles in the world - and the bidders agreed - it sold for $299,600! The Iver Johnson was not the only record setter at the South Point Hotel. Many BMW, BSA and Triumph motorcycles far exceeded the seller's reserve, set record sale prices and found new homes.
Our Las Vegas 2012 auction results are now posted on our website. The feedback and results from our Las Vegas Auction, has once again told us that you, the buyers, want to purchase a quality motorcycle from the real owner, not the auction company.
MidAmerica Auctions will NOT go out and buy a group of motorcycles and resell them as a "collection" only to have you bid against the auction company so they can protect their investment. We have always felt this is a conflict of interest. MidAmerica Auctions works for the seller and buyer - NOT ourselves!
Once again, a big thank you to all who made the 21st Annual MidAmerica Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction a success. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming 2012 motorcycle events in Florida, St. Paul, Minnesota, New York or Las Vegas, Nevada.

Since 1987 Ron Christenson and Sandy Doll have shared their expertise and love of the motoring world. Starting with local classic car auctions in 1987, the company expanded in 1989 to fill a void in the motorcycle market. Reaching out to like-minded enthusiasts, close to home and eventually worldwide, with their exciting live auctions, this small family company has become the premier leader in the promotion and preservation of motoring history.
From the first vehicle offered at a MidAmerica Auction, Ron and Sandy practiced the philosophy of their business being a "family affair". As years passed, they grew a network family of collectors, restorers, dealers, investors, riders and drivers that know MidAmerica will be honest, fair and work hard to find a new home for every vehicle that crosses the block.
MidAmerica Motorcycle Auctions have been held across the United States. From Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago and Florida in the earlier years to New York and Pebble Beach in recent years. This reaching out to enthusiasts around the country created a community of buyers and sellers eager to participate in the industry this company values so highly.
