How the Online Auction Works

  •  All bidders register online at www.MidAmericaAuctionsBid.com. Bidding will open at 9am, PT, Monday morning, August 13th. There will be bidding stations at the MidAmerica Auctions Pebble Beach Concours tent for all onsite bidders on Thursday, August 16th. Buyers who wish to pay the INSTANT BUY price will be required to pay for the motorcycle in full before the motorcycle is released. This option is only available if the Reserve Price has NOT been reached. When the Reserve Price is reached, the Instant Buy option will no longer be available and the motorcycle will be sold to the last and highest bidder.
  •  This auction will have a staggered close of bidding for motorcycles beginning with lot number 1 at 2pm. Lot number 2 will close at 2:02pm followed by lot number 3 at 2:04pm and so forth. A staggered close is being utilized to accommodate the final “surge” of bidders that occurs with online bidding. It also allows buyers of multiple motorcycles to participate in the last minute bidding on all the motorcycles they hope to purchase. EXTENDED AUCTION TIME: If there is a bid on your motorcycle within the last 2 minutes before its ending time the bidding on your motorcycle will continue for another 5 minutes. We want as many interested bidders as possible to have the opportunity to bid on every lot they desire in those final exciting minutes.
  • Each online bidder must register with a $500 deposit to bid. Bids will not be accepted from unregistered bidders. There will be a 9% Buyers Premium (minimum $125) added to each purchase.  Buyers who purchase at the INSTANT BUY price pay an 7% Buyers Premium (minimum $125). Buyers may pay for their purchases with cash, traveler’s checks or cashier’s checks. The buyer may pay with a personal or company check if he/she has a letter of guarantee from his/her bank. This letter of guarantee must be on file at MidAmerica’sPebbleBeachauction office prior to Thursday, August 16th, 8am PT or registration will be denied. Internet bidders usually overnight cashiers check or wire payment to arrive early the week following the auction. Until full payment is made, buyers put a 20% (minimum of $2,000) NONREFUNDABLE cash or credit card deposit on each vehicle purchased. MidAmerica Auctions will hold the vehicle and title until the buyer completes the transaction.
  • If a later pay and pick up is necessary, there will be a minimum $200 charge for each motorcycle. This is the fee to transport the vehicle to an off-site storage facility. 
  •  Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express may be used for a purchase or deposit. A 3% convenience fee will be charged to the buyer for each Visa, Discover, MasterCard or American Express transaction. Call MidAmerica Auctions for details.
