Reading Standard V-Twin
Reading Standard V-Twin
Seller’s father purchased this Reading Standard in 1976. Bike was in running condition at that time. Meticulous restoration began in 1977 by the seller’s father. Rated 1-Minus by Green Hill Appraisals finding it to be an excellent restoration, all components are original or new and almost always “one of a kind.” V-twin engine, Bosch ignition. Foot operated rear brake. The twin stick shifting levers along with the hand controls have been nickeled and polished. All in excellent condition. The left hand controls the throttle, a Weston temperature gauge and Corbin-Brown speedometer. The seat appears to be original. The tank decal was reproduced from a photograph from the original on the bike. Foot rubbers are NOS. The restoration done to the this rare Reading Standard truly makes this an excellent 1923 motorcycle.
