A $5 wheelage tax may be collected if you reside in one of the following counties: Scott, Carver, Anoka, Dakota, or Washington. Please call our office with any further questions.
All buyer payments must be made with good funds which are defined as cash, cashiers checks, travelers checks, personal or company checks backed by a major credit card (ATM/debit cards not accepted). Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover are accepted forms or payment with a 3% handling charge. Arrangements can be made to leave a 10% nonrefundable cash deposit (minimum $500) for each vehicle purchased with the balance due in full by the following Wednesday at NOON. Any sale not completed on sale day will have an additional charge for each motor vehicle/item purchased to cover additional transportation and storage fees. The transportation and storage fee will be $25 for each vehicle if payment is made on the following Monday. If the vehicle is not paid in full by Monday, there will be a $10 charge for each additional day.
Any default after purchase results in a forfeiture of ALL BIDDER DEPOSITS and the Auction Company will be paid the full sum equal to the purchase price, buyers fee and any additional cost involved in the transportation, storage and resale of items not paid for. This sum due and payable without relief.
All items become the sole responsibility of the buyer (bidder) when the auctioneer announces “Sold”. The Auction Company is not responsible for sold items due to damage or theft once the successful bidder has been announced.
All vehicles must be removed from the sale site by 6pm on auction day.
All purchases must be paid in full by the end of the auction. All sales are final. All items sold AS IS, WHERE IS. The Auction Company only guarantees existing engine and transmission problems UNTIL NOON THE WEDNESDAY FOLLOWING THE AUCTION to include;
- Engine: Internal engine components (cylinder heads and cylinder headgaskets, pistons, cam shaft, crank shaft) will be guaranteed for EXISTING defects until the above designated time. Timing belts, fuel injection units, intake gaskets, computers, tune-ups, and front or rear main crankshaft sealsWILL NOT be covered. If a serious major defect is found the selling dealer and/or auction company have the option of repairing the problem or refunding the buyers purchase price.
- Transmission: The transmission and 4×4 components are guarantee to engage in all gears and shift properly according to the miles on the vehicle. IMPORTANT NOTE: 4×4 components such as transfer cases, u-joints, axles will make noises not usually heard on a 2 wheel drive vehicle. If these noises do not affect the shifting or engaging of the 4×4 unit it will not be cause for return or repair by selling dealer. KEEP an additional $1000 in your 4×4 vehicle buying budget for necessary 4×4 maintenance. 4×4 vehicles will require much more maintenance and will produce sounds not normal to other vehicles.
- Please remember a vehicle with 165,000 miles on it will probably not shift the same as a brand new vehicle but it will shift without a major hesitation or “Jerking”. RULE OF THUMB: If the motor or transmission has to be removed from the vehicle for necessary repairs it may qualify as a vehicle that can be returned for a refund or purchase price. If the vehicle is returned, the purchaser will NOT be reimbursed for any repairs which were done to the vehicle prior to the vehicle being returned.
ITEMS LISTED ABOVE ARE THE ONLY ITEMS THE AUCTION COMPANY WILL GUARANTEE. The following items are NOT included in the guarantee; Timing belt, fuel injection system, braking system (unless deemed unsafe), window controls, radio and sound systems, keys and locks, hood cable, charging systems, batteries, etc.
